Merchant Marine Academy

Utility-Scale Power in California

This 100kW utility-scale project was partially financed through the California Energy Commission's state buy-down program and was intended to serve as the beginning stage of a larger photovoltaic power plant.

Nigeria Village Water Pumping

Terra Solar was contracted by the Nasarawa State Government in Nigeria to install photovoltaic water pumping systems in 150 rural villages as part of a program to provide greater access to clean water for health and irrigation purposes.

Native American Photovoltaics

In 1998, Terra Solar was chosen to provide over 20 residential systems for families then living without electricity. Native American Photovoltaics (NAPV), a non-profit organization, is bringing the benefits of electricity to the largest group of Americans who live without it.

Dutch Housing Project

Terra Solar worked closely with Kiss + Cathcart Architects to develop a new standard for moderate-cost, solar-electric generating, Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) for these 14 row houses in The Netherlands.

4 Times Square
Completed July 2001
Terra Solar was proud to be a part of this project. As one of the more recent additions to the midtown Manhattan skyline, this new office building at 4 Times Square was, at the time, the most environmentally friendly skyscraper ever built in the US.

Rancho Seco
Terra Solar developed a wide-ranging relationship with the Sacramento Municipal Utility Department (SMUD), the most solar-oriented electric utility in the U.S. Terra Solar supplied and installed solar electric systems for SMUD for a variety of applications including utility-scale bulk power generation, commercial and institutional buildings and residential homes.
